Once the appointment is made, you will receive an appointment confirmation via email. On the day of the consultation you will be hospitably welcomed to our clinic. We will check your information, you will fill out a short questionnaire about your medical status and then you’ll meet with our specialist to discuss how CoolSculpting works, the cryolipolysis treatment, the results you can expect and your personal wishes.
Prior to the cryolipolysis treatment we will take 360° photos of the area to be treated. Then you can sign the consent forms for treatment and make the payment. We also measure your weight.
The area to be treated will be marked. To protect your skin from the cold we apply a special gel pad. The applicator will be applied on your skin and the strong vacuum sucks your skin and the subcutaneous fat layer into the applicator. Then we start the cooling process. One treatment takes 35 minutes. This time is needed to permanently destroy the fat cells so they do not return.
A cryolipolysis treatment at the CoolSculpting Clinic is a non-surgical treatment that can last one or more hours. The duration depends on your personal treatment plan. No anesthesia or pain medication is required.
At the beginning of the procedure a vacuum sucks the tissue into the applicator. The suction can give a sensation of pulling and squeezing. Once the cooling begins you may experience a stinging sensation, tingling or cramping for the first few minutes. These sensations disappear within a few minutes once the cooled area becomes numb.
During the cryolipolysis treatment we offer you something to drink and eat and you can work, watch TV, read a bit or just relax. When the treatment is finished, the applicator will be removed from your skin and we immediately massage the treated area. Then you remain lying down for a few minutes so the cooled area can warm up again. In doing so you may experience cramping or tingling. This feeling disappears after a few minutes.
CoolSculpting is a non-surgical method, so there is no necessary recovery time needed. You can immediately resume your daily activities. After the cryolipolysis treatment you will be given instructions by the specialist. This lists what you can expect in the first few weeks after treatment. In addition we will schedule a checkup appointment for approximately twelve weeks after the treatment.
